At TK&S our policy of investing in the very latest diagnostic equipment enables us to discover, document and monitor eye and systemic health conditions that could otherwise go undetected.

With our state-of-the-art Optos California and Topcon Triton machines, not only are we getting the widest imaging possible, we can take cross-sectional images of the retina. This enables us to significantly enhance our levels of diagnosis and monitoring of eye-related health conditions such as age related macular degeneration, diabetes, glaucoma, macular holes, vitreous detachments and hypertension.

OPTOS CALIFORNIA

Can digitally capture more than 80 per cent of your retina (Usually without the need for dilation) – enhancing our ability to detect even the earliest sign of retina disease.

TOPCON TRITON

Provides a cross sectional scan of the retina, with specific scans for the macular and optic nerve head which allow us to screen and diagnose a number of potentially sight threatening conditions. It is also used for anterior segment imaging.

CORNEAL TOPOGRAPHER

Maps the surface and curvature of the cornea, highlighting factors that influence the type of contact lenses we can fit, as well as helping us detect any corneal diseases or abnormalities.

IOL MASTER

Used in surgical centres, this device gives us the axial length (measurement of the length of the eye), one of the most important pieces of information necessary in myopia management.

EYE SURFACE PROFILER

This next generation topographer allows us to analyse not just the cornea, but also the area beyond it known as the sclera. This information is particularly important when fitting complex scleral contact lenses.

TEARLAB & INFLAMMADRY

TearLab and Inflammadry measure the osmolarity (saltiness) of tears and the inflammatory protein MMP-9, to aid the diagnosis and management of dry eye disease.

MP-EYE

MP-eye assesses macular pigments, which are your eyes’ natural protection against dangerous high energy visible (violet/blue) light. If your macular pigments are low, you can take action to improve your natural protection.
